Athena is a proud wife and mother of 4 amazing children who all serve as inspiration to push further in her career. Her career has been a journey of constant learning, growth, and unwavering commitment to her patients’ well-being.
As the Founder of Get Up and Glo Medspa, Athena Brummett, DNP, FNPc, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than twenty years experience, including medically supervised weight loss, hormone balancing and health counseling. Athena’s educational journey is a testament to her dedication to excellence. Her journey began in 2002 when she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program at UNC Chapel Hill. She earned her DNP from East Carolina University in 2021, a testament to her commitment to staying at the forefront of medical knowledge. Since then, she has continually expanded her expertise, becoming certified in various specialties.
Athena is certified in medical aesthetic procedures such as wrinkle reducers, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy, PDO threads, PRP/PRF and microneedling, and more. Athena’s credentials are a testament to her commitment to providing the highest quality care to her patients. She is not just a practitioner but a partner in your journey towards looking and feeling your best.

Sherri has been a nurse for 25 years and has spent the last 21 years taking care of critically ill infants. She has 13 years of experience in critical care transport, specializing in neonatal and pediatric care. She received her ADN from Davidson County Community College, BSN from Winston Salem State University, and MSN-NNP from East Carolina University. She is detail-oriented and skilled in tedious procedures in NICU. She enjoys playing piano in church and for her boys to sing. In her free time, she spends time with her family, husband, and three boys in church, on the baseball field, and in gymnastics.

April has been a Licensed Esthetician since 2013, she also received a Medical Esthetics Certification from Grace Medical that same year. April offers medical grade skin care services as recommended by our Nurse Practitioner. She collaborates with our medical team to create an individualized skin care routine with your goals in mind. April's goals are to help you achieve the results you desire while maintaining the integrity of your skin. Licensed Esthetician
Candace has been a Registered Nurse for over seventeen years. Candace has a rich background of nursing experience including mother-baby nursing, wound care and case management. She is passionate about holistic medicine and nursing. She is a loving wife and mother who enjoys spending time with her dogs, studying professional make up trends, reading, and listening to podcasts that expand her faith in Christ. She is passionate about holistic practices and making people feel better in their own skin. Candace joins Get Up and Glo Medspa as a great resource for holistic health practices in our new IV Drip Lounge as well as our trusted makeup artist for our wedding party and bridal services.

Lydia was born and raised in Lexington, NC. She attended UNC Charlotte and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. She worked as a trauma nurse for two years before finding a passion in the ever-growing aesthetic world! She is passionate about helping her patients achieve their health and beauty goals. She wants to make every patient look and feel their best. Lydia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out, and trips to the beach. Lydia is excited to be part of the Get Up and Glo team and will be offering IV Vitamin Drips, teeth whitening and medical piercings.

Katie has been a Registered Nurse for 10 years, receiving her BSN from Appalachian State University. She has experience in mother-baby, dialysis, oncology, and case management. Katie is passionate about helping others feel their best from the inside out. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and growing their relationship with Christ as a family. She also enjoys baking for people in her home bakery.

Gabrielle, but we fondly call her her "Gabby", has been with Get Up and Glo from day one. She has a rich background in customer service, the medical field and office management. She is often the sweet voice you hear when you call our office. In addition, she is passionate about helping others feel good about themselves. She is our body contouring specialist. Gabby is a loving wife and mother. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending church to expand her faith for her love of Christ.
